Ladies enjoy good food and good company, for a good cause
After meeting Megan Nighbor, a member of PRF’s Ambassador Family, Elizabeth Aiken from Greenville, South Carolina decided to hold a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for PRF. In June 2007, she organized a luncheon and silent auction, and over a hundred women showed up! They enjoyed catered food and wines, bid on dozens of auction items, browsed the wares of three retail vendors (who donated a part of their sales), and even saw a fashion show. The event raised over $1,100! Elizabeth continues to be involved, bringing in several hundred dollars through the Coins to Cure Progeria© collection cans, which she has placed in stores across Greenville. “It is amazing how much energy you have when working for something important”, she says. Thank you, Elizabeth, we agree!
