Many, many thanks to Brownstown Electric Supply Company of Brownstown, Indiana for their extraordinary efforts in making The 2008 1st Annual Zach Pickard Pelican Run a tremendously successful event. The committee spent over 5 months planning the event, and on race day all that hard work showed, with dozens of volunteers and sponsors, 176 runners and all went off without a hitch (oh – except for the goats and sheep that blocked part of the race route for a little while! ) At a post-race meeting, the group felt equally grateful to PRF and the Pickards, for giving them the opportunity to come together as a team for something so meaningful.
