In the fall 2006, Carl Haber of Miami Florida, ran in PRF’s 5th Annual Race for Research. Never having run in a road race before, Carl chose to take on this challenge as his Bar Mitzvah Project. He asked his family and friends to sponsor him, and raised an astounding $4,425. Carl ran in honor of his friend Sam Berns and in memory of his uncle Aaron Zev Kushner, who died of Progeria in 1977. With his mom and sister cheering him on, Carl ran the race, posted his personal best time, and discovered the joy of being a miracle maker. Congratulations, Carl!
