In February 2006, high school student Kristen, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, raised over $500 during her "Progeria Awareness Week". She hung her original, hand painted posters around the school and every morning made an announcement about the event. Each day, Kristen set up a table outside the lunch room, and during 3 out of 4 lunch periods sold wristbands, collected donations, and handed out brochures. She really spread the word about Progeria to the students, teachers, and parents, many who had never heard of Progeria before. Kristen is currently working on a letter writing campaign and candy drive. She has already raised over $1,200 with the letter writing campaign alone and she's not finished with the project!

Thank you, Kristen, for all your hard work on behalf of children with Progeria.
