May was an exciting month on the auction block for PRF, as two auctions of items, hand-made with love, raised money to help find the cure for Progeria. Penny Davis donated Humphrey, a unique Gotobed Bear from England who was ready to be "adopted" by the highest eBay bidder! Humphrey was accompanied by his special little friend Lila, who was donated by Cee Newboult of Cee's Bears. Cee thought it would be nice for Humphrey to have a traveling companion on his way to his new home - Thank You Penny and Cee!

Gotobed Bears are one-of-a-kind, hand sewn, collectible bears created by Penny, who was inspired by a recently aired British TV special on Haley Okines (www.hayleyspage.com), a little girl in England who has Progeria. And Penny is willing to make more Humphreys, with a portion of the proceeds going to PRF. Contact us if you'd like more details.

A second auction was held thanks to Maria Grimes, glass bead artist. In memory of Amy Foose, the bracelet is called "Amy meets Mickey". A Mickey Mouse theme was chosen because Amy's parents, Terry & Sam Foose have just started a PRF Southern California chapter, home of Disney. Peridot Green Flowers represent Amy's September birthstone, and the yellow is for her upbeat, sunny personality & her positive out look on life. As with the bears, 100% of the Proceeds were given to The Progeria Research Foundation.

Thank you, Maria, Cee and Penny!
