Exceeding our goal by over $30,000, hundreds prove they are each ONE who makes a cure POSSIBLE.
Our second annual campaign was a rousing success. With ten teams and nearly 900 donors, we raised $182,000 - nearly double last year’s amount, AMAZING!
These funds will ensure that PRF’s programs can continue, including historic clinical trials with drugs that show great promise to effectively treat the children. For the first time, there are possible treatments – and just 11 years ago there was nothing being done!
‘The Progeria Research Foundation has made amazing strides: discovery of the genetic cause of the disease, testing of a possible drug treatment, and now the support of not just one but two clinical trials - Wow!’
- Francis Collins, MD, PhD, Director of the National Institutes of Health and co-discoverer of the Progeria gene.
In addition to drug trials, this year PRF funded its 6th scientific conference, and is funding at least 6 research projects, testing record numbers of newly discovered and undiagnosed children, sending cells to researchers worldwide, spreading the word about Progeria and PRF’s work, and whatever else is needed to advance the quest for a cure.
You are ONE who makes a cure POSSIBLE!
