Pat McGee Band Benefit Concert!
The Pat McGee Band, Howie Day and Virginia Coalition rocked the Paradise Club in Boston at the concert to benefit The Progeria Research Foundation on December 28th, 2000.
Everyone had a great time at the 4 1/2 hour long event. The Pat McGee Band played for over 3 hours, dedicating selected songs to children with Progeria and reminding the audience why they were there.
Prior to the concert, a VIP reception was held for a group of fans who paid extra to meet the band, get a free limited edition poster, eat wonderful food and get a chance to win prizes if they could answer some Pat McGee Band trivia!
A surprise fund-raiser was a guitar raffle: The band raffled off guitars signed by the entire band at several of their recent shows, with all the proceeds given to PRF.
Collection jars placed by the merchandise tables were stuffed to the top with bills by the end of the night. One person put a check for $100 in a jar! THANK YOU, FANS!
The VIP reception, regular ticket sales, guitar raffle and collection jars resulted in a total of over $15,000 being raised! All the bands donated their time, with all the proceeds, minus expenses, going to PRF. THANK YOU, PAT MCGEE BAND, VIRGINIA COALITION AND HOWIE DAY!!!
