** PRF raises over $2000 at International Festival Booth **
The Progeria Research Foundation raised money to fund medical research by running a booth at The City of Peabody's International Festival, an exciting event now in its 17th year. Attended by an estimated 100,000 people annually, the International Festival is a day of festivities, dancing, food, and art representative of countries all over the world. And because Progeria affects children world wide, PRF fits into the international theme of the event. We sold drinks and pastries (seven-layer bars, lemon squares and cookies, yumm!) from "award-winning" recipes. The booth was visited by hundreds of hungry attendees who purchased our delicious baked good. Thank you to the dozens of bakers and others who helped make this a successful and fun fund-raiser.
