Emily and Margarette Ruth of Columbia, South Carolina, saw a show about Progeria on television and wanted to raise money for PRF and the children. During the 2006 Holiday Season, they persuaded the principal of their school to let them set up a table at the holiday fair. They sold scarves, potholders, bracelets, and coin purses hand knit by Emily’s grandmother, and had a coin jar set up. Emily also sold her own toys at a garage sale at her home. The girls collected almost $550! Thank you Emily and Margarette Ruth for your hard work and generosity!
