Chief Business Officer

Barbara Natke comes to The Progeria Research Foundation bringing more than 20 years of Biotech/Pharma experience. Prior to joining PRF, Dr. Natke served as the Vice President of Business Development at both AVEO Oncology and Samyang Biopharm, USA where she was responsible for creating pipelines of transformative therapies in the areas of rare disease and oncology through partner identification, scientific due diligence assessments and deal negotiations. Prior, Dr. Natke served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in the Shire/Takeda organization including Scientific Director and Due Diligence Lead. Before making the transition to the business side of the Pharma industry, Barbara spent 8 years running laboratory groups at Genzyme/Sanofi following her post-doctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Natke holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine and an MBA from Babson College.
