PRFs Internationaler wissenschaftlicher PRF-Workshop 2022<\/strong> \u2013 Rennen Progeria zur Heilung,<\/em> war ein \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigender Erfolg und brachte 124 Teilnehmer aus 14 L\u00e4ndern<\/strong>F\u00fchrende \u00c4rzte, Forscher und Familien mit Progerie trafen sich in Boston, MA, um die neuesten Erkenntnisse der Progerieforschung auszutauschen und den Weg f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Bem\u00fchungen zur Entwicklung neuer Behandlungsmethoden und Heilung f\u00fcr Kinder und junge Erwachsene mit Progerie zu ebnen.<\/p>\n

Wir begannen die Er\u00f6ffnungsnacht mit unserem das erste Panel, das von einem Erwachsenen mit Progerie moderiert wurde<\/strong>, der 27-j\u00e4hrige Sammy Basso aus Tezze sul Brenta, Italien. Auf dem Podium waren auch zwei weitere Menschen mit Progerie vertreten, Meg und Carlos, die das Publikum fesselten, indem sie von den neuen und aufregenden Aktivit\u00e4ten erz\u00e4hlten, die sie im letzten Jahr unternommen haben. Ganz aufregend war, dass Meg einen Monat nach dem Workshop vorzeitig ihren College-Abschluss machte! Die Er\u00f6ffnungsnacht beinhaltete auch eine Live-Zoom mit Kindern auf der ganzen Welt<\/strong>, gefolgt von einer \u00dcberraschung musikalische Darbietung von Dr. Francis Collins<\/strong>, wissenschaftlicher Berater des US-Pr\u00e4sidenten, dessen Labor die Entdeckung des Progerie-Gens leitete. Dr. Collins spielte dem Publikum mehrere beliebte Lieder mit abgewandelten Texten \u00fcber die Fortschritte von PRF bei der Heilung. Wie besonders!<\/p>\n

Derart tiefgreifende Fortschritte und eine derartige Zusammenarbeit sind nur dann m\u00f6glich, wenn eine \u00e4u\u00dferst engagierte Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft zusammenkommt, wie wir es bei elf internationalen Tagungen getan haben.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Liebe und Leidenschaft, diesen Kindern und jungen Erwachsenen zu helfen, kam in jeder einzelnen Pr\u00e4sentation zum Ausdruck und hat bereits zu vielen kontinent\u00fcbergreifenden Kooperationen gef\u00fchrt, um zus\u00e4tzliche Behandlungsmethoden und Wege zur Heilung zu erforschen.<\/p>\n

Die Tage zwei und drei des Workshops drehten sich um 28 m\u00fcndliche wissenschaftliche Vortr\u00e4ge und 26 Poster<\/strong>. Wir begannen den dritten Tag mit einer neuen Erg\u00e4nzung des Workshops: der Sunrise Session, bei der Nachwuchsforscher in kleinen Gruppen mit f\u00fchrenden K\u00f6pfen auf diesem Gebiet zusammenkamen und so ein spannender Dialog zwischen den verschiedenen Forschergruppen entstand.<\/p>\n

Mit unserer Blitzrunde haben wir einen weiteren Workshop-Favoriten zur\u00fcckgebracht und den Poster-Pr\u00e4sentatoren eine Plattform geboten, um ihren Kollegen einen dynamischen Vorgeschmack auf die Poster zu geben, die sie sp\u00e4ter am Abend pr\u00e4sentieren w\u00fcrden. Diese Pr\u00e4sentationen beleuchteten die neuesten Entwicklungen in der klinischen Forschung zu Progerie, einschlie\u00dflich eines tiefen Einblicks in die transformativer Fortschritt der RNA-Therapeutika und der Genomeditierung<\/strong> in pr\u00e4klinischen Studien sowie eine Herzsitzung, in der Interventionsstrategien f\u00fcr kritische Aortenstenose hervorgehoben wurden<\/strong> bei jungen Erwachsenen mit Progerie. Die Pr\u00e4sentationen und Poster zeigten detailliert die Fortschritte bei potenziellen Progerie-Behandlungen und inspirierten die zuk\u00fcnftige Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Forschungs- und der medizinischen Gemeinschaft.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus nutzten mehrere Teilnehmer die vom CME-B\u00fcro des Lifespan Rhode Island Hospital angebotenen Fortbildungspunkte f\u00fcr \u00c4rzte (CME).<\/p>\n
