Les participants ont eu la possibilit\u00e9 de partager leur expertise en mati\u00e8re de recherche sur la prog\u00e9ria et de rencontrer certains des enfants qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront de leurs travaux. Un r\u00e9sum\u00e9 de l&#039;atelier a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9 aujourd&#039;hui dans la revue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aging-us.com\/article\/202835\/text#fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Vieillissement<\/em><\/a>Parmi les participants figuraient des m\u00e9decins, des scientifiques et des chercheurs pr\u00e9cliniques de renomm\u00e9e mondiale, ainsi que des familles d\u2019enfants et de jeunes adultes atteints de prog\u00e9ria.<\/p>\n<p>Les pr\u00e9sentations des familles de patients ont anim\u00e9 le programme, suivies de mises \u00e0 jour sur la toute premi\u00e8re demande d&#039;approbation du m\u00e9dicament Progeria par la FDA (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.progeriaresearch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/PRF-Press-Release-Zokinvy-FDA-Approval-FINAL.pdf\">qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9 plus tard dans le mois<\/a>), ainsi que les premiers r\u00e9sultats du seul essai clinique actuel sur la prog\u00e9ria. Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi par des pr\u00e9sentations de donn\u00e9es pr\u00e9cliniques in\u00e9dites sur des m\u00e9dicaments en d\u00e9veloppement ciblant la mutation de l&#039;ADN responsable de la maladie, l&#039;ARNm aberrant, la prot\u00e9ine prog\u00e9rine et ses prot\u00e9ines effectrices en aval. En reliant le laboratoire au chevet du patient, les cliniciens ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 de nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes sur l&#039;histoire naturelle de la maladie pour \u00e9clairer le d\u00e9veloppement futur des essais cliniques et les nouvelles proc\u00e9dures de remplacement de la valve aortique de la prog\u00e9ria.
