Voordat ze bij PRF kwam, was Dr. Natke Vice President of Business Development bij zowel AVEO Oncology als Samyang Biopharm, USA, waar ze verantwoordelijk was voor het cre\u00ebren van pijplijnen van transformatieve therapie\u00ebn op het gebied van zeldzame ziekten en oncologie door middel van partneridentificatie, wetenschappelijke due diligence-beoordelingen en dealonderhandelingen. Daarvoor vervulde Dr. Natke verschillende functies met toenemende verantwoordelijkheid in de Shire\/Takeda-organisatie, waaronder Scientific Director en Due Diligence Lead. Voordat ze de overstap maakte naar de zakelijke kant van de farmaceutische industrie, leidde Barbara 8 jaar lang laboratoriumgroepen bij Genzyme\/Sanofi na haar postdoctorale studies aan het Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Paula heeft meer dan 25 jaar ervaring in financi\u00eble managementactiviteiten, financi\u00eble rapportage en planning binnen de productie-, private equity- en non-profitsector. Ze is ook voormalig universitair docent boekhouden aan Dean College. De afgelopen 25 jaar is deze gewaardeerde arts-wetenschapper een fervent voorstander geweest van en een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan het gebied van Progeria-onderzoek, inclusief de ontdekking van het Progeria-gen in 2003. Hij is momenteel lid van de <strong>Progeria-genenteam, <\/strong>een buitengewone groep van wereldberoemde wetenschappers en vernieuwers die samenwerken met PRF om een transformatieve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.progeriaresearch.org\/nl\/2025\/08\/08\/gene-editing\/\">genbewerkingstherapie<\/a> die Progeria zou kunnen genezen.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Collins heeft gedurende zijn carri\u00e8re een breed scala aan onderzoeksontdekkingen ge\u00efnitieerd. Onder leiding van Dr. Collins produceerde het Human Genome Project in 2003 de eerste voltooide sequentie van het instructieboek voor menselijk DNA. Naast progeria heeft zijn onderzoek geleid tot de ontdekking van de genetische oorzaak en mogelijke behandeling van cystische fibrose, neurofibromatose en de ziekte van Huntington. Van 2009 tot 2021 was hij onder drie presidenten directeur van de Amerikaanse National Institutes of Health, de grootste ondersteuner van biomedisch onderzoek ter wereld.
