Seu primeiro e principal objetivo de encontrar o gene da Progeria tendo sido alcan\u00e7ado, eles agora est\u00e3o avan\u00e7ando com o estudo do defeito gen\u00e9tico em detalhes.<\/p>\n<p>23 de agosto de 2002: Primeira reuni\u00e3o do Cons\u00f3rcio de Gen\u00e9tica realizada em Providence, Rhode Island<br \/>\nO Cons\u00f3rcio de Gen\u00e9tica da Progeria Research Foundation, criado e organizado pelo Diretor M\u00e9dico da PRF, Dr. Leslie B. Gordon, realizou sua primeira reuni\u00e3o na Brown University em Providence, RI, em 23 de agosto de 2002. Reunindo especialistas do mundo todo, o Cons\u00f3rcio de Gen\u00e9tica da PRF promove o progresso na pesquisa da Progeria ao procurar o gene da Progeria e ao caracterizar a doen\u00e7a usando t\u00e9cnicas gen\u00e9ticas. Os membros do Cons\u00f3rcio de Gen\u00e9tica da PRF se reuniram para compartilhar seus dados laboratoriais e reunir seus recursos intelectuais e laboratoriais para criar colabora\u00e7\u00f5es altamente promissoras.
