دMEET “THE FAB FOUR!”
PART OF OUR EVER-INCREASING POPULATION OF YOUNG ADULTS WITH PROGERIA.
Before PRF, the average lifespan for individuals with Progeria was just 13 years. Today, thanks to your support, the development of lonafarnib, and PRF’s ongoing research, more young adults are living with Progeria – growing a remarkable and hopeful population that includes Kaylee (22), Amber (19), Michiel (27), and Merlin (24).
PRF is now advancing SamPro-2, a gene editing therapy that has permanently corrected the exact DNA error that causes Progeria in mouse models, toward human trials.
This is the moment everything changes. And you can be ONE to make the cure POSSIBLE.

Quotes from THE FAB FOUR!
I’m an artist. I’m a writer. I’m an author. I’m a cellist and a musician. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing back in 2022. I have published a children’s book, and I have been part of the Progeria research trials since 2002. I’m immensely grateful for the work that PRF has done to get us this far in life.
I’m 27 years old, which I’m very happy to be because since I was 5, they told me I wouldn’t even get to 12 years old. I’m so happy to still be here today.
Getting older, I definitely have more health struggles, but the Progeria Research Foundation has helped me every step of the way and has helped me to be able to accomplish things like going to college and driving.
