In celebration of Disabilities Awareness Month, the city of Evansville, Indiana brought together children and adults – with and without disabilities – for a day of fun activities and entertainment enjoyed by over 1,500 people – WOW!
IDEAL Day was held on March 17, 2007 at the Centre in downtown Evansville, featuring a variety of activities throughout the day and night:
- An Activities Land featuring dancing, live music, magic acts, face painting and inflatables.
- A Run Of Luck 7k run, 1 mile walk, and Wee Folks kids’ dash let the whole family join in! Nearly 1,000 runners participated in the biggest run they have had in their 7-year history.
- An unforgettable Evening of Power and Possibilities featuring National Mrs. Paula Foulkers, PRF’s Executive Director Audrey Gordon, and a "Yes, You Can!" presentation by Team Hoyt, whose incredible story inspired the hundreds who attended.
